Where to apply for UK visa?
You can apply for a visit visa or EEA family permit at any visa application centre overseas. For all other types of visa, you should apply in the country of which you are a national or where you are living.
You can apply in a number of ways, for example, by post, by courier, in person and online.
If you are applying in person you must apply at the nearest visa application centre, run by UK Visa's commercial partners, VFS Global or WorldBridge Service.
Commercial partners only collect visa application forms and supporting documents, biometric data and the visa application fee. Commercial partners are not involved in the decision making process.
We strongly recommend that you visit a Visa Application Centre (s) by prior appointment, saving you unnecessary waiting time.
How to Schedule an Appointment?
To get an appointment you should send Email to your near by visa application centre with following information:
Name and Surname of the applicant --
Passport number --
Visa category --
Visa Application Centre (s) that you would like to visit --
Preferred date and time -- provide 3 options
They will send you an email by the end of the day confirming your appointment. You need to print this out and carry it with you to the Visa Application Centre (s). You should reach the Visa Application Centre (s) 5 minutes before the appointment time.
Where do I get Application Form and Which form do I need?
You can get a form, free of charge, from your nearest visa application centre or British mission overseas that offers a visa service, or you can download the form you need from the list of Application Forms here
You will need to fill in only one application form, according to the type of application you will make. However, a separate application form must be completed for each person who is travelling with you.
You can make an application in 8 easy steps:
- Visit the Visa Application Centre with appointment letter
- Pay the published Visa Application Fee
- Present a signed, dated Visa Application Form (VAF)
- Valid Passport and its 2 set of photocopies of all the pages
- Provide Recent Photograph in colour of size Unmounted - 45 mm x 35 mm
- Provide covering letter for your application
- Provide all other supporting documents mentioned by UK Border Agency
- Consent to have their biometrics data recorded
